This book is about Barack Obama and the history of his life being explained to a young African American boy named David by his mother. David did not understand who Barack Obama was and why people were shouting his name. David had many questions that his mother answered through giving an autobiography of Barack Obama. David told his mother that when he gets older, he wants to be just like Barack Obama.
The appropriate age level for this book is ages 5-10. I enjoyed this book, because it taught not only the little boy David but also myself about Barack Obama. The way the book is written is to be easily understood for children to completely understand who Barack Obama is and it fulfills the requirements. I would recommend others to read this book as well.
